Clove Study (Exercise & Motions III)

This Clove Exercise & Motions III phase started December 5th. 2024. If you participated before 12/5/24, then you are eligible to participate again! 

Participate in a ground-breaking study focused on the advancement of the virtual reality controllers! 

We are excited to invite you to be a part of an innovative study aiming to explore and understand the intricacies of human form, motion, and emotion. This research is crucial in advancing our knowledge and developing technologies that can better interpret and respond to human expressions and movements. 

Key Details of the Clove Study:

• Location: 14450 NE 29th PI, Bellevue, WA 98007
• When: Monday-Friday
• Hours: 8AM - 4:30PM 
• Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours
• Compensation: $100 for a complete session, or $40 for Back-up participation via PayPal (3% surcharge, 2-3 business days) and Direct Deposit (5-7 business days)

Clove Eligibility:

• 18 years or older
• Understand spoken English
• Meet our physical requirements (see below)

Clove Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift arms above head and move them through a full range of motion for 1-1.5 hours with short breaks.
• Ability to sit on the floor and stand up unassisted.
• Ability to walk continuously while moving hands above and around the head.
• Hand and finger dexterity to manipulate objects.
• Ability to squat or sit in a chair.

What To Bring for the Clove Study:

• Valid government ID
• Payment information (Direct Deposit or PayPal)
• Comfortable workout attire

How to Apply:

Sign up Rules:

• You can only participate as a Primary participant in the Clove Study once per phase.
• You can only sign up for one Primary booking spot at a time. 
• You can sign up for up to two Back Up booking spots at a time. 
• Only sign up for a Back Up booking if you are willing to participate as a Primary participant at the booking time for a 1.5 - 2 hour appointment. 
• You can sign up for a Back Up booking and a Primary booking, but the Back up booking must be before the Primary booking.
• If you sign up for a Back Up booking and someone else who is a Primary participant does not show up, then you will be asked to participate as a Primary participant. 
• If you sign up for a Back Up booking and cannot participate as a Primary participant, then you will not be paid or you may lose your chance to participate in the study again during this phase as a Primary or Back Up participant. 
• You cannot sign up for a Back Up booking or Primary booking once you have participated in the Clove Study during the current phase.
• You cannot sign up for a Back Up booking spot after a Primary booking spot.  

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:

• You may cancel or reschedule your appointment by using the link provided in the confirmation email to cancel or reschedule your appointment. 
• You can cancel or reschedule your appointment up to two times with no repercussions. 
• If you miss your appointment more than once without canceling, rescheduling, or any communication, then you will no longer be eligible to participate in the Clove study. 
• If you cancel or reschedule your appointment more than two times, then you will no longer be eligible to participate in the Clove study.
